Vermosa, Ayala Land Inc.'s’(ALI) visionary 752-hectare estate spanning Imus and Dasmarinas, Cavite, is set to welcome a new spiritual cornerstone with the groundbreaking ceremony of San Sebastian Church. This momentous occasion marks a significant milestone in Vermosa's journey to become a holistic, modern suburban community that nurtures both body and spirit.
The ceremony, to be held at the heart of Vermosa, symbolizes the estate's commitment to creating a well-rounded, inclusive development that caters to all aspects of residents' lives. San Sebastian Church, with its planned 500-person seating capacity, is poised to become a central gathering place for worship, reflection, and community events.
ALI's VP & Senior Project Development Head of Estates Group May P. Rodriguez who led the ceremony said, “This partnership reflects our shared commitment to make a difference in the lives of our fellow Filipinos and provide a space for their spiritual well-being in the Cavite community. As we break ground today, let this moment remind us of our shared mission: to foster communities where everyone can thrive.”
The church, set to be completed by 2026, will offer a range of amenities including facilities for weddings, seminaries, and ample parking spaces. While the designer and builder are yet to be announced, the project underscores Ayala Land's dedication to creating meaningful spaces that enrich people's lives.
Vermosa, with its strategic location and easy access to key urban centers, is rapidly emerging as the new growth center in the south. The estate boasts world-class facilities such as the Ayala Vermosa Sports Hub, AyalaMalls Vermosa, and the De La Salle Santiago Zobel Vermosa Campus, all contributing to its vision of a modern, sustainable community.
Arch. Carmelo Casas, the lead architect for the project said, "Rooted in the principles of aggiornamento, the design of the San Sebastian Church in Vermosa aspires to transcend trends, offering a sacred space that reflects God’s eternal presence. Casas’ process focuses on creating an atmosphere that invites worship and evokes an experience of heaven on earth."
