October 15, 2021
Seda Hotels was declared Winner in two award categories -- "Employer of Choice" (100-999 employees) and "Best Health and Well-Being Program" -- in the HRD Awards Asia 2021. Key Media is the organizing body, one of the leading niche publishing companies in the world.
“Employer of Choice” recognizes the best organization to work for in Asia. Nominees are judged on leadership, engagement, communication, and employee benefits. In its entry, Seda Hotels emphasized its determination to fulfill its obligations to all its stakeholders during the pandemic. It remained steadfast to LIVEM values and supported by strong management-employee relations that had been established from the early years of its existence, was able to rise to the challenge and work through the uncertainties, gracefully managing a situation that was unprecedented in the world.
The “Best in Health and Well-Being” Program award recognizes excellence and innovation in workplace health and well-being programs and initiatives. Seda Hotels stated that “Protecting the Workforce” was one of its priority areas to ensure smooth business continuity in the face of Covid-19. To do this, the HR team, led by Ms. Wilma Estaura, implemented a Holistic Wellness Program that put emphasis on mitigating the adverse consequences of the crisis on its people, keeping them motivated, productive, engaged and consistently effective at performing their duties despite the circumstances.
Seda’s Senior Group General Manager Andrea Mastellone is delighted about the dual wins and credits the entire team for staying focused and united throughout. “Sales, Operations, HR and the Administrative departments worked tirelessly to keep the business running.” He equally expresses gratitude to Ayala Land, Inc. for their unwavering support and commitment to Seda, which has been highly-evident and deeply-appreciated in these critical times.
HRD Awards Asia is on its second year. It has been recognized as one of the region’s leading independent awards for the HR profession, with judges consisting of HR leaders from prestigious companies in various industries in Asia Pacific. There are two tiers of awards for each category: 1) excellence awards and (2) winner. Nominees with the highest scores in each category were conferred with excellence awards. The nominee with the highest overall score in each category was declared the Winner. Seda Hotels was Winner for “Employer of Choice” (100-999 employees) and “Best Health and Well-Being Program.”
